Keme mushroom grows in the provinces of Gaziantep, Birecik, Malatya, Kırşehir, Konya in the South-Eastern Anatolia region of our country until its appearance resembles a ground apple, and in the Middle East and Arab countries around the world. Since Keme is not an industrial plant, it comes out a little, especially in arid years; it requires a lot of precipitation. The product collected by the villagers is carefully cooked by kebab masters mixing it with meat. Keme kebab is served with roasted peppers and dried onions. It is recommended to store at -18°C.
